***Mona is currently located at our rescue in Georgia and available for adoption. With an approved application, she can be transported to New Jersey and available for adoption at our monthly adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes. Mona's former owner left her at the home of an elderly disabled  woman despite knowing that she wasn't physically able to care for Mona.  While it put her own health and safety at risk, the senior-aged woman did all she could to keep Mona fed, watered, healthy and happy. After a friend of the disabled woman was made aware of the situation, she contacted our rescue seeking help in finding Mona a home, which we are more than happy to do.

Since coming to SoCo Rescue, Mona has more than proven herself to be friendly towards all people and other dogs. She is a very energetic dog who loves to play and thoroughly enjoys time spent with people. While she's progressed well with learning a couple of basic commands, she will require additional training. She will make an excellent addition into a home with other dogs and/or children who are knowledgeable on how to handle a dog. 

Mona has been spay and is up to date on all of her annual vaccinations, de-wormings and other such care. Her adopter should be prepared to offer Mona additional house, crate and leash training.
