While Scott Bennet was passing through Glenwood last January, he spotted a female dog that was standing at an old dumpster site and looked very scared and confused. Although he had no room at SoCo Rescue for another dog, he just couldn't drive past this dog without checking on her. After he parked his van and as soon as he opened his door, this beautiful brown and white dog came running over and jumped into Scott's lap before he even had time to set a foot on the ground. The dog, now named Molly, began licking Scott's face as if to say "Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!!!" and that was all it took for Scott to tell her "We'll find a way, girl".

While a little nervous at first, Molly quickly adapted to her new surroundings rather quickly. She's definitely comfortable inside a home, even showing crate and house training skills, indicating that she was once an indoor dog. She is very people oriented, as you can guess, and gets along very well with other dogs. Molly would be perfect as a companion for children who interact with dogs properly.

Molly received an update on all of her annual vaccinations and de-worming as well as being kept on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives (tested Negative for heartworms in Aug, 2024). She's also been spay. Molly may require a refresher course on her house training and other socialization skills, but should excel easily.
