SoCo Rescue has always held a special place in our hearts for those who serve in our country's military. Often times these courageous  people are left with P.T.S.D. and other physical and/or mental issues to deal with. The courage that they have to put their lives on the line for our freedom pales in comparison to the courage it takes to ask for help in dealing with such issues. Such was the case last February when Blu's owner contacted SoCo Rescue seeking a temporary foster for Blu while she sought help through the Veteran's Assistance Program. While receiving the help that she needed, Blu's owner made the decision to let us re-home Blu so she could continue to focus on her own wellbeing. 

 

Blu is a very people and dog friendly girl who loves to play. She's also very smart and had even begun her therapy dog training prior to coming to our rescue. She's also crate trained and undergoing her house training.  But her biggest asset is her level of love that she has to give. Blu will make an excellent family companion.

 

Blu has received all of her annual vaccinations, been de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on her monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. On Sept 10th she was spayed & tested negative for Heartworm.
