Sometimes a dog just seems to know where to turn for help and such was the case for our boy Gunner. But his journey to getting that help had to first follow proper procedures in order for him to be placed with our rescue.

After Gunner appeared on the property of a compassionate couple,he had to be turned over to the local animal control for the customary "hold time",which allows for the rightful owner to reclaim him. Once his 10 day hold period had passed and he wasn't selected by the local humane society, we were allowed to pull him. The family that found Gunner also offered to foster him and has provided Gunner with excellent care.

Gunner has proven to be very friendly and loyal. He enjoys playing with the foster's other dogs, has been extremely friendly towards everyone he meets and simply loves his interaction with everyone he has met. We do think that Gunner will make a great family companion and should do very well in a home with another dog. 

Gunner has now been fully vetted, started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives and even recently tested negative for heartworms. He is now crate trained and will not defecate inside his crate. While he has also preformed very well when living indoors Gunner may need additional house training to fully master the skill.
