Gooch and his siblings were born homeless. Their mom, a feral dog, had wandered onto the property of a Glenwood resident and had her litter. As soon as the pups turned 4 weeks, the property owner gave us an option: "Get them today or I'll just kill them"! While this man claimed to love dogs, he made it clear that he didn't want the dogs on his property any longer. After giving chase, we were able to secure Gooch and his siblings but their mom proved to be too elusive and was last seen running away into the woods.

The largest of his litter, Gooch has overcome a fear of people and a deadly illness to become the friendly, playful pup he is today. He's still a little apprehensive at first but quickly becomes accepting when he realizes you're a friend and have access to the treats! With a little patience, Gooch will become a great addition to just about any home.

As of April 9, Gooch has received 2/3 of his first year puppy vaccines with a final vaccination being due on April 30. He's also received his rabies, been de-wormed and treated against parasites. We've also started him on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  A microchip will accompany his adoption.
