Gibbs was found as a puppy living in a drainage pipe.  A nice couple tried to get him out and finally after a month, their perseverance paid off and they were able to get him out.    Gibbs was literally scared to death of everything around him.  When we fed him he wouldn't come out from under his bed until he was sure no one was around. After some time, Gibbs came around slowly.  He's a very loving, very sweet boy that's just needs a chance with a family who can work with him.  Gibbs is still skittish of strangers and sometimes takes a while to warm up.  He is a gentle boy though and you can see in his eyes that he wants to love you.  Once Gibbs warms up, his tail never stops wagging.  He turns into a different boy with so much happiness and exuberance.  Gibbs will need a family that has patience and a willingness to work with him.  Once that's accomplished we can guarantee you that you will find him to be an absolutely amazing boy.  Gibbs has been with us for 2-1/2 years and we feel he's finally ready to venture out on his own with the right family.  

As of 1/25/16 it's estimated Gibbs is 3-1/2 years old.  He is current on all his vaccinations and he is neutered.  Gibbs is a very good boy but once in his new environment he will need a refresher course on house training.  Gibbs can be selective on the friends he chooses, so a meeting with your dog would be necessary prior to adoption.  Please open your heart to this wonderful boy and show him the love he so desperately deserves.  If interested in handsome Gibbs, please submit an application to www.socorescue.com.
