Gomez is a young (approx. 1 yr old) male Shepherd/Rottweiler mix that was found as a stray at a local boat launching area. A concerned citizen contacted SoCo about this dog that was wandering the area, looking for food.

Upon finding this fellow, it was apparent he was very hungry and in need of rescue. He was thin and dehydrated. It was also apparent that he had seen trouble in his recent past, as the tip of his right ear was missing. It appears to have been bitten off. But even though Gomez was scared and hungry, he came right up to me and smiled, pulling his upper lip up to show me his bright teeth. This was not done in an aggressive way, as Gomez will still smile in such a manner. He is one friendly little boy.

Gomez gets along greatly with all dogs he meets. He is so friendly and playful. Very smart, too, as he has already learned to be crate trained and is making great progress on his house training. He has also mastered his leash training, being very easy to walk.

Gomez has received his vaccines for this year and is currently on a heart worm preventative. He will be neutered before his adoption. He appears to be a very healthy boy.

Gomez will not get much bigger than his current size, which is about 35 lbs. He likes living outdoors as well as spending time inside. He lights up when humans come near. Gomez would make a great pet for young children, who are old enough to properly handle a dog. He has absolutely no aggression to him at all.
