Ollie was found as a stray in the Glenwood, GA area in April of 2022, just prior to the time that we fully relocated to our new home in Tarrytown. He was very thin, terrified and spent everyday cowering in a corner. Our staff worked tirelessly to help calm his fearful state, but saw very little progress. While he was very dog friendly, Ollie just didn't seem to trust people.

But once we moved Ollie to our new location, his entire demeanor changed almost overnight! He now seems to thrive with human contact, loves going on leash walks (and doesn't pull!) and has a very affectionate personality. He loves being outdoors and needs plenty of room to run, play and explore. While we're sure he'll enjoy indoor time, Ollie may need additional house training. If you own lots of land, love the "Barrrooo!" of a Hound, then Ollie is the dog for you.

Ollie has been fully vetted and kept up to date with his annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. His recent heart worm test, which consisted of both an Antigen (test for adult female heartworms), which was negative, and a Microfilaria test (test for Microfilaria or baby heartworms.) which resulted in a positive test results. Our vet, Dr. Steven Everette, recommended the use of Ivermectin as Ollie's monthly heartworm preventative as it will kill the microfilaria. Dr. Everette did not think having Ollie treated for heartworms would be necessary at this time.
