Betty came to SoCo Rescue by way of the Dublin/Laurens Co Animal Control and with a puppy in tow. She and her pup had been picked up by the animal control and both were facing euthanasia. Fortunately we had an open kennel and were able to take both Betty and her pup into our rescue. Her pup, Jersi, found her home in March, 2020,  but Betty had to wait until she was treated for her heartworms before she could be placed for adoption. 

Betty is very friendly and playful.  She lights up whenever he sees one of our staff members, wanting to be petted, cuddled and played with. She has lots of energy, and loves to use that energy playing with the other dogs in our care. She walks well on a leash and will make a great companion for anyone looking for a very active, very playful pup to share their days with. 

Betty has now been spayed, received an update on all annual vaccinations, de-wormings and kept on monthly preventatives. Adopter should be prepared to offer additional house and leash training. While Betty has interacted very well with other dogs at our rescue, we'd encourage a "meet-and-greet" with any other dogs that she would share a home with. We're not sure how Betty will be with a cat.
