Description:

***Georgia Girl is being fostered in the Pennington, NJ with 2 other digs.  Her foster family feels she would be a perfect Therapy dog, she is just that perfect!!!

Georgia Girl was found as a stray dog by an elderly couple in our area. The couple gave her a home, the love and care that she needed and saw Georgia Girl become a very devoted and loyal companion. We were even told of an incident where the lady of the home was previously attacked by some dogs while riding her bike. After that incident, Georgia Girl would accompany the lady on her rides, always staying between the lady and any other dogs in an attempt to protect her, but never showed any aggression towards the other dogs. Unfortunately and as much as they love her, the couple feels it's best to re-home Georgia Girl since they are "getting too old" to properly care for her.

Georgia Girl is very friendly to people. In fact, when our SoCo representative met Georgia Girl, she was all tail wags and very receptive to meeting a new person. Georgia Girl has been taught not to ump up on people, which with her people-friendly personality, make her a great candidate for a home with small children. Georgia Girl has gotten along great with other dogs and even likes playing with cats. She is simply a very friendly and smart girl!

Georgia Girl recently received an update on her vaccines (3 year rabies and DHLPP), has been kept on her monthly preventatives and tested negative for heartworms. She's also been spayed as well. Georgia Girl split her time living indoors and outdoors but did very well with her house training and other "inside" dog skills.
