**UPDATE - Glenda is being foster in the Pennington, NJ area.  The foster family absolutely LOVES her, they said that she is just so easy. She is 100% housetrained & gets along with their dog & cat. However, Glenda's favorite people to follow around are the kids, she just loves them & is so gentle with them.**

 Not only was Glenda homeless, she was living under an old abandoned barn in our area and trying to provide for the litter of pups that she just had. Most nights people reported seeing Glenda roaming the streets in search of food and water and spent her days nursing her litter. She was very apprehensive of people and would retreat deep into the underside of the barn while being very protective of her pups. By the time we were able to catch her, only three of her pups had survived the ordeal. 

Since that time, Glenda's pups have all found wonderful homes and she has become trusting of people. Still a bit cautious of new people but not aggressive, Glenda has proven to be very friendly and seems to now enjoy her human counterparts. She's progressed into becoming a suitable candidate for someone looking for a family pet, but we think a home without a lot of commotion would be best for her.

As of 10/10/16 it's estimated Glenda is 3-1/2 years old.  She's received an update on all of her vaccinations, has been spay and recently tested negative for heart worms.  Glenda is a bright girl but may need a refresher course in house training once in her new environment.  If you have room in your heart for this wonderful girl please submit an application to www.socorescue.com.
